Gdańsk on the 16th. That gives me time to make the most of it. I’m a bit intrigued by a show collection at the archaeological museum for starters: and there are ferry trams!
I’m glad you like my cusp of summer photos, especially the last one. If I discard all the samara shots I’ve taken, I reckon I might liberate about 10gb of iPad storage.

The sycamore photo is a beauty Meg, and I love the raindrops and the fungi – what’s it doing in June? I can smell the Rosa Rugosa from here, heavenly 🙂

Lots of summery loveliness here Meg, but like Gilly I have to ask “where did you find the mushrooms?” Little fairy houses! We usually see them appearing in September. Must be a damp spot somewhere on your walks 🙂

I’m cheating a bit. Some of these were earlier than the official start of summer. And there have been fungi around for the last month – more yesterday around the trunk of a tree where we picnicked on the way home from preschool, some visibly pushing through the dirt, and some when Maja first started criticising my Polish pronunciation a month ago: “grzyby” is the offending word. I’ve seen them in the parks (three different ones) and beside the road. We’ve had a mix of rain and warm. It hadn’t registered that mushrooming is much later in the year.
