After light snow

Sometimes grocery shopping offers unexpected pleasures. Off early to buy the weekly indulgence in salmon steak, I stumble across the double delight of early morning sky and a coating of white.

Not resilient at all! Ephemeral, in fact 🙂 🙂 (the Reader is full of resilience this morning and I’m trying to decide whether I want to post 6 words or leave my retrospective as my farewell to 2017). In Oz they’ll already be there, won’t they? It’s a funny old world, in which I’m sending you warm hugs to carry you safely into next year. With love 🙂 🙂

    • Oz still 90 minutes to go. I always startle when my daughter says something like “seeing how many swims I can fit into a working day.” I’m still working on my non-photographic farewell to the year. It’ll go up sometime tomorrow. Hugs wrapped in fireworks for tonight – cursed things woke me up at an inappropriate 5 this morning, but you might enjoy them!

Now this much white stuff I could cope with, especially with that lovely light and you had the whole park to yourself. I’m still in my dressing gown being very lazy, but I suppose I’ll have to go grocery shopping too, but it won’t be as pretty as this. Enjoy your salmon my dear x:-)x

This all looks very cold to me! I am foregoing supermarket shopping until Monday at least – still rummaging in the freezer… I have a feeling we won’t be disturbed by fireworks tonight!

    • Only -1. -10 is looming. No fireworks in Cornwall? I looked out the window at midnight amidst a cacophony of bangs and there was a magnificent display. I almost woke the twins, but I took two hours to get them to sleep and I’d run out of story. I went shopping early – usually a clear run then, and w needed salmon and wine.

This is awesome, what a treat for you! I’m really obsessed at the moment with the black, leaf-less trees against a clear winter sky – it’s even better with the nice pink/orange colours behind it. Lovely stuff 🙂
