Paula has tempted me again. Her black and white Sunday theme is from above. I’m not very high up, just in my first floor apartment, watching a procession marking the 72nd anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising.

All these wet umbrellas give the procession a more solemn look. This is a very good vantage point to watch life on the street. Thank you, Meg. This is an excellent entry.

I have been up higher a few times, in Gdansk, in Brisbane and in Warsaw. But I’m wobbly.

I love the higher vantage point for street images, something I did in Warsaw….

Unfortunately there’s rarely action in Dworkowa, and too many poles and hoardings in Puławska! I’d quite enjoy a series of shots from my window.

I broke two rules: entered a challenge and repeated a photo. Lovely rainy Tuesday at the zoo for me. Drenched hugs.

Yes. Another fetish developing! Enjoy the wedding anniversary and the bopping about. We’re off in a few weeks to a place near Świebodzin for a week with all grandparents and parents and twins. And then my daughter’s here!!!!

Rain makes it an even more solemn occasion – or maybe it isn’t solemn?

I think it is solemn. So many deaths and still the Germans destroyed Warsaw, and the Russians took over. Nothing much to rejoice about, except pointless courage as seen with rear vision.
