Miscellanea

My photo collection always ends up with photos that don’t fit into a post. So “miscellanea” becomes their home.

This looks as if it could be significant, but I have no more luck reading its semiotics than I do reading Polish.

How strange to spot an Aboriginal-style kangaroo on a sign opposite the pre-school! The sign translates thus:

Don’t touch kangaroos and other representatives of Australian fauna

Goodness knows what it actually means! (And I didn’t actually read it. I used my Collins dictionary. So I could well be wrong.)

I’m sure these are functional rather than sculptural but I like their shape and their textural variations.

This one is for Jo, lover of trams. I couldn’t resist its length, the dappling, and the view from the window.

This image has so many of the things I like to photograph: a frame, reflections, push bikes, contrast of old and new, gardens, lines.

Nature does assemblages so beautifully, although I may have moved the feather a smidgen.

Is this an image I should recognise? And why is it on a fence post at Królikarnia Palace?

This window through a tree suggest a hollow interior, but the tree’s thriving.

There are patterns in everything even drab concrete.

So zooming up is not always a disaster. I’ll have to do it more often.

While Jaś is fixated on a fish tank in the pet shop down the side street, I look around patiently wondering if he’ll ever tire, and spot this reflection.
